sun shield, compliments of a teacher I know well. he said "I can barely see as it is, here you have them"
So cool to see this in person. Though, after looking a few times I noticed my depth perception was starting to get a little wacky. The mirror confirmed that my pupils had shrunk to pinholes from trying to resolve the little speck of Venus through the solar filter. Probably should have put the effort in to setting up a binocular or otherwise lens projector instead… In any case, it was a very cool event, but only a few of my students shared such enthusiasm.
Nope… that little dot is just the sun photographed by hastily sticking my cell phone camera behind the solar filter.
