The top says "Matthew became cool/great/dreamy(?)" - the Japanese here can be easily turned into a pun, so I wrote a joke back to the student

Then, my favorite note made by possibly my only sarcastic student. Probably one of the only kids who felt comfortable to write honestly in English without fear of fellow classmates reading.
"No boyfriend!" / also wrote my (unofficial) kanji for "Mashu" as a memory
Hilarious to me, but one of those situations where you’d have to be there…
