Spent the morning over in Takasu, a small fishing town of less than 2,000 (seniors) that merged with Kanoya City a few years back. This is a shot I want to go back for in late afternoon or early evening. Great view over the bay with the town in the foreground. It’s a placeholder for now.
Make-shift huts on the beach for stormy weather.
Boukuugou (ぼうくうごう), citizen air-raid shelters built along Kagoshima Bay during WWII, where Kanoya was heavily bombed due to it’s air base.
Fresh fish for sale.
To be continued.
