33/365: Sakurajima keeping busy

Ash on the windshield. The larger pieces sound just like raindrops hitting the car.

Unfortunately, there weren’t any incandescent fireworks to be seen tonight (at least for as long as I wanted to stay out there). If the weather stays dry and warm tomorrow, I’ll be back out again for another shot.

One of the burdens of living next to a volcano: cleaning up the mess. This machine brushes ash from the curbside then collects it underneath in a hopper.

Also, just notice that I was in a clip from another Eruptions blog follower and storm chaser James Reynolds. I should be pretty easy to spot:
