My Adapt Vegan skate boots showed up today. I took a bunch of photos before taking them out for a skate. I ordered a US Size 9 / EU 43, and for reference my feet measure 27.5cm (L) and 27.7/8cm (R). I usually wear a 10 shoe, or 43 EU, but I fit size 9.5 in Salomon and 10 in Seba’s liners.
I added a SofSole “FIT” low arch insole as well (size 11-12) and cut them down to fit. Tried on the Superfeet Green, Blue and Black, but these all had a more default arch, whereas the SofSole’s FIT series has definite differences in the arch profiles (low, regular, high) and felt more supportive. The Vegans fit fine without the insole as well, but I think these help get rid of any movement or potential heel lift in the boot. I probably could have squeezed into the US 8 / EU 42 if I had to, but in general Adapt’s sizing chart is pretty accurate if you measure your feet according to their instructions.
I only cruised around the block for a few minutes, but I can tell the fit is going to settle in great on these. I’ve never had a pair of skates fit so well. Looking forward to taking them to the park after meeting with some clients this weekend.
On with the photos:
